First, here are two recordings of “Ladies on a
Steamboat.” The two banjos used
are identical
(Curly maple neck, two ply 12” maple rim, heavy tubular
brass tone ring)
except that the first banjo has a Cole style open back rim
and the second has a Bacon style internal resonator rim.
The differences are subtle, but noticeable.
I’ll add additional sound files from time to time.
