A Swastika in a Corn Field
Symbolizes.....

A Swastika IS NOT automatically a hate symbol!!!

No suspects were found, nor motives ever shown, regarding this swasika created
in a New Jersey corn field in 1998. However, that did not deter all the usual
suspects from lining up to scream anti-semitism, with the predictable hand
wringing, and soul searching.
Many comments were made that the cornfield swastika was a nazi swastika.
The angle of this photo even suggests the orientation of the swastiak
on a corner instead of a side, but that is just the result of where you
look at it from.

In reality, the cornfield swastika looks nothing like a "nazi" swastika.
A nazi swastika would be drawn on a square divided into 25 smaller squares.
That is to say, the arms are as wide as the spacing between them.
The cornfield swastika has much narrower arms in relation to the size,
much more like a Hindu Swastika.

To automatically assume that this swastika is a product of hate is
opportunism of the worse sort. Of course, one might wonder, if this
swastika did not exist, perhaps it would be necessary to create it.

The Creators of the Swastikaa Homepage abhors any attack or assault on
any group or individual. But who can say if this swastika is a product
of hatred, a prank, or perhaps an expression of the creators
religious beliefs?

We offer here a motive that no one ever mentioned. The swastika was
discovered in the first 2 weeks of July. Experts stated that it was about
3 weeks since it was created. Lets see, go back 3 weeks and you have
the time of the summer solstice. Perhaps it was created as a positive
affirmation of life. To many, the solstice is a holy time of year.
One way to celebrate it would be to create a holy symbol.
In this case, the wheel of the eternal sun.

What if, this time, the swastika had nothing to do with the "victims" at all?

We, at least, are willing to keep an open mind

NOTE: All the swastika graphics created by the Swastika Homepage are drawn
on that same 25 square grid. We personally think that makes the most
esthetically pleasing result. Just as the swastika does not belong
to the nazis, neither does that particular form.
