you write or call please ask for Amy McAllister, Director, Sponsorship,
Advancing Native Missions. She is there to answer any questions you might have
or to send you an initial sponsorship packet as well as give you bi-yearly
updates. The initial packet contains a booklet which answers frequently-asked
questions and explains the various giving options ANM offers. As we now have
many of Covenant Children's Home orphans on file, we are set up to process the
gifts and send current information to the sponsors.
I. How will my sponsorship help change this child’s life?
The child you sponsor is an orphan who lost his or her parents or his or her father due to civil war, terrorism, drugs, and HIV/AIDS. Without your support the child would not go to school but roam in the street stealing, doing drugs and prostitution. Your sponsorship now enabled the child to live in a home, have food and clothing, receive regular medical care, go to school; and above all believe in Jesus Christ. After completing his or her High School Degree or Class XII, and after staying with us till he or she is 20 years old; the child will leave the Home as a mature and self-reliant citizen, who would make his or her own living with the fear of the Lord. Is this not amazing?
II. Will ANM deduct part of my sponsor fund for administrative costs? Yes,
ANM will deduct 7% of your gift. This covers the cost of keeping you updated
with photos, education, and life of the orphan you are sponsoring.
III. Where do I send the sponsor money?
Please make the check payable to ANM and send it to:
Advancing Native Missions
Post Office Box 5303
Charlottesville, Virginia 22905
IV. What are the modes of payment?
1. You may write a check of $40 monthly or $480 for a year and send it to the above
address or just contact them by phone or email.
2. You can also use your bank’s online bill paying feature; that is what some people are doing – that way it automatically comes out every month.
V. How will ANM know that the money is for orphan support and send it to Manipur?
Along with your check or soon after you wired the support money, you may send an email to
Amy McAlister Amy (click to email) and tell her that the money is for an orphan at Covenant Children's Home, in Manipur. You may mention the name of the orphan too. Send a carbon copy (cc) of the email to Lian Tombing at:
Lian (click) and Clara
(click to email).
VI. How long will my sponsorship last?
You may have to support the orphan till he or she finish grade 12 or to the age of 20. So it will depend on grade and age of the orphan you are supporting which is shown on the Photo Card of the orphan.
And if you have to stop your child sponsorship due to any reason, please let us know so that we may fine a sponsor for the
orphan you are sponsoring. If and when the orphan you have supported graduates and leaves the orphanage to support themselves, you may choose another orphan to
support.
VII. Can I write to or send packages to my sponsored child?
Yes. You may write a letter to the orphan you support whenever you want. As soon
as the orphan receives your letter, one of our office staff will help the orphan
to read and understand and then reply with his or her own handwriting; and
the letter will be sent to you along with his or her updated picture. You need
to send the letter to our secret mailing address: N. L. Paite

VIII. What else do I need to know?
1. Please make sure that you have to update us with every change of home address or new email
address for us to stay in touch with you.
2. If you do not hear from us for 3 – 4 months either by email or by snail mail, please write to us so that
we would not have communication gaps, and thus serve together for the future of the orphans.
3. Please let me know if you would like to come visit the orphans in Manipur.
The Protected Area Permit (PAP) has been lifted since January, 2011 which
means you can come into Manipur anytime and stay as long as India Visa
allows.
