Great Banquet! Thanks to all that helped with the banquet and throughout the season!! Also congratulations to the newly elected captains for next years teams: Michelle Kigallon, Brianna Ritota for the girls and Sean Grady and Nemanja Zgonjanin for the boys. See you in January 2011

District Semi Finals & Finals April 20 & 21, 2010 Congrats to both Girls (12-7) and Boys (14-6) for their semifinal wins vs. Suncoast. Unfortunately both lost in the finals to St. Andrews. We want to thank both teams for an exciting season. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Final Records: Girls 11-10; Boys 15-10.

The Boca High Water Polo Parent Booster Club had its first get together of the year on August 29 at Laurie Spear's house. It was a Wine and Cheese Party for parents only. For those that were able to attend it was a great way to meet the other parents and discuss ways to help make this year a successful and fun year for the teams.

Officers were elected for this season:

Liliana Suarez-Murias will be the returning Treasurer.

For the Vice President position, it was decided to have one represent the Girls team and one represent the Boys Team. For the girls team, Lisa (Megan's mom) and Wendy (Alex's mom) will co chair the position. For the Boys, it will be DeDe (Denver's mom) and Brenda (Brandon's mom) co chairing.

We had several volunteers sign up for the following committees: Banquet, Concessions, and Fundraising.

The main points of discussion were the hiring of a new coach, scheduling the games, and the pool location. Joe Grady is already working with Coach Hill and the Athletic Department to put these items in place. The pool location and fees leads us to our next main topic: Fundraising. Pool fees will be a reality this season as the pool at the school is still not under construction. First Southern Bank has already donated $300 for sponsorship of the team. However, we are still in need of other sponsors so if you have any businesses in mind that would like to donate, please email DeDe at dddmeredith@aol.com or Laurie Spear at lspear@bellsouth.net and they can get you the necessary forms.

Uniforms, team shirts and team robes were also discussed along with the Team Handbook. Final decisions on these will be made with the new coach but the Booster Club will have all the information ready for the coach's approval. Captains will have the responsibility of designing the team tshirts so that they will be ready at the beginning of the season.

If anyone has any ideas or would like to volunteer for the above committees, please do not hesitate to contact one of the above officers.

Lets make this a great season.

"Pay to Play": For the girls $170 includes athletic fee, bathing suit and t-shirt; for the boys $145 athletic fee, bathing suit and t-shirt. Not included is the Banquet Fee and Out of county travel expenses which will be determined closer to travel dates. Checks are due by Friday Jan 22nd and make out checks to Boca Raton High School Water Polo.

2009 Season

CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH THE BOYS AND GIRLS TEAMS FOR ADVANCING TO THE DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS AND FINISHING THE SEASON AS DISTRICT RUNNERS UP!!

Both the Boys and the Girls teams had nice seasons.
