The Town of Woodville was incorporated on May 12, 1890
and is the oldest town in Jackson
County, Alabama. The distance from Woodville to the
state capital in Montgomery is 156 statute miles. The amount of
land area in Woodville is approximately 17 square kilometers.
Current
population, according to the 2000 Census, is 761. The Zip
Code is: 35776 and the area code is: 256. Woodville
is conveniently located between Scottsboro and Huntsville just off
US Hwy 72.
Faye Cook has been Woodville's mayor since the year 2000
and is currently serving her third term. The Mayor and Council meet on the 1st
Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm in the town hall. The public is
invited to attend.

Historic Methodist Chapel is the perfect place to
host a wedding!
This beautiful Gothic style structure built in 1912,
is fully equipped and has room for seating of up to
100 guests. You
can have your reception at The Bob Jones Community
Center which has
its own kitchen and is within walking distance of

All traffic tickets issued by The Woodville Police
Department
must be paid at the Circuit Clerk's Office
in the Jackson County
Courthouse in Scottsboro,
or they can be mailed with a money order
or cashiers

The Woodville Police Department in the same building
as the
Town Hall. Woodville currently employs three part-time
