Ernest Thomas House
- 1923-

Ernest was the son of Robert J. and Sarah Fletcher Thomas. He married Eliza Hodges and they had two sons, Gordon and Clyde.

Both Ernest and Eliza belonged to the Primitive Baptist Church and were very zealous in their religious affairs. Ernest served as a deacon in the Church and a trustee at Woodville School. He lived in Woodville most of his life and engaged in farming and carpentry.

Ernest built this house in 1923. It was built on land left to Ernest by his father, R.J. Thomas. The structure of the house is basically the same except the line of the roof was modified due to a fire in the ceiling. It has the original lap siding and tongue and groove flooring. There is a large open hall in the entrance with large rooms on either side and one large room upstairs.
