Brendle Branch Cabins Philosophy

We built Crooked Tree Cabin on 11 acres of Blue Ridge Mountain forest as a place where we could come to experience the peacefulness of the mountains. We wanted a place that was quiet where nature was disturbed as little as possible. We left the native wild flowers, mountain laurels, pines, and hardwoods to form the landscaping. In 1999 we purchased the adjoining 4 acres with White Pine Cabin. In 2003 we purchaced 30 adjoining acres of heavily wooded forest to add more hiking opportunities. Each cabin is unique, separate from the others, and surrounded by forest. We hope that you will come here to enjoy a quiet, relaxing place among the sights, sounds, and refreshing smells of these wonderful mountains, away from highways and concrete. To us this is not just a business enterprise; it is a way to share and preserve a small part of the southern Appalachian forest. We ask you to respect the land. Our hope is that these 45 acres of forest will remain the same for many years to come for all of us to enjoy and protect.
