Harrodsburg Christian Church is located at the corner of Main & Office Streets in historic downtown Harrodsburg.
The ceremony will commence at 1:30 pm. The Reverend Larry Jeffries of Frankfort, KY is the officiant.
The colors featured in the ceremony are red, white, and black. The sanctuary will be decorated for the Christmas season with greenery, garland, wreaths, poinsettias, and white ribbons. Several varieties of roses will be employed for the bridal party.
The Harrodsburg Christian Church is the oldest continuous congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), chartered in 1803 and even pre-dating the denomination by several years.
The current church was built in 1927. In preparation for the church's Bicentennial Celebration in 2003, a $1.4 million renovation was initiated in 1998 and completed in 2002. The sanctuary features a wrap-around balcony, beautiful dark hardwoods, a single crystal chandelier, and a pneumatic pipe organ. The organ is believed to have been built by Henry Pilcher & Sons of Louisville (Opus number unknown) and transplanted to HCC from an older church. The pneumatic console was replaced and solid state control added by Holloway Organs of Indianapolis in 1981. This well-maintained instrument is in a II manual/13 rank configuration.
