Welcome to Nahfoura Himalayans, a small hobbyist cattery located in central Florida. We are dedicated to meeting and exceeding the Himalayan breed standard.
My name is Karen Harrington Rakes. My husband Alan and I (along with our two children) are the proud caretakers of an ever-evolving family of these adorable creatures. Our goal is to ensure that every Nahfoura cat and kitten is as healthy and well-socialized as modern methods allow. To that end, all breeding stock is tested for FeLv and FIV, DNA-tested negative for PKD, and caged only as necessary for health or safety. Kittens remain with us until fully vaccinated. Retired adults will already be spayed/neutered. Sales are by contract and include a current Florida Health Certificate.
When a cat or kitten leaves our care, the new owners become an extension of the Nahfoura family and are encouraged to contact us at anytime with questions on care and grooming, showing, or just to share their experiences with us.
