I'm a Digital-Age Curmudgeon because:
I have never logged on to Facebook, let alone have an account.
I've never sent or read a Tweet.
My cell phone has text messaging and data access blocked in both directions.
I don't own nor have I ever played on an X-Box, a WII or a PS3.
If I want to interact with a human being, I meet them and talk to them
in the flesh; I do not text them as a substitute.
If I'm talking with someone, having dinner, watching a sporting event, etc.
and my cell phone rings, the phone call is a secondary priority, not
a reason to ignore the person I'm with. I pay for voice mail in
my phone plan and I use it.
I use e-mail, but merely to do my job and to coordinate meeting people
in person and as a replacement for paper letter writing.
I refuse to let an iPhone/Droid/Blackberry/whatever and all the crap that
pops up on it lead me around by the nose as a substitute for actually living.
