A Word from Pastor Tony
We are so excited about the wonderful opportunities that await Family Worship Center this year. Our church vision for 2008 is the word "DO". The "D" stands for Discipleship. I will be teaching each Wednesday evening on discipleship themes. Each month I will focus on a different theme that will be relevant and practical. A few examples would be topics on spiritual disciplines, faith, family, finances and stewardship. I would like to encourage everyone to attend the Wednesday Night bible study if at all possible. This will keep us on the same page concerning the vision and will promote spiritual growth in a strategic and systematic way. The service time for Wednesday night is 6:00 p.m. We meet in the auditorium and have a 45 minute to 1 hour class which is usually over by 7:00. Ministries are also available for Nursery (ages 0-4); Young Explorers (ages 5-12) and Youth Live Wire (ages 13-19).
The "O" stands for Outreach. Our goal is to have at least three major community outreach projects that we, as a local church, will be involved in. Our church families can choose which of the three they would like to serve in. We will be sharing at a later time the specifics of these opportunities. The discipleship part of the vision is an internal one while the outreach segment is an external one. These two goals are the main targets we will focus on. I am asking everyone to first pray with much diligence. It will take each and every one of us doing our part to have success.
This year we will be celebrating out 15th year in serving as Pastors at Family Worship Center. I believe that the best is yet to come, and I can hardly wait. Partner with us and let's enjoy the blessings of God as we journey together.
