FPI provides a professional outsource data entry service for companies receiving large quantities of documents that are handwritten or typed and time sensitive. Our high-speed, automated systems read hand-print, check- boxes, mark sense, reader response, bar codes, and most anything else that is variable on a document. Documents can be processed from hard copy or fax.
We enter it manually (from image or paper) or through computer assisted data capture, using OCR (optical character recognition), ICR (intelligent character recognition), mark sense, MICR and Bar code. Client specified information is extracted from the source document then checked by our validation routines including table look-ups, data/range checks, and relationship validation. . The mechanical verification process takes the original data image and internally compares it to the optically recognized data. Data that compares exactly and is recognized by the system as correct is accurate and requires no further verification. When the internal mechanical verification process cannot assure to 100% the complete accuracy of the optically recognized data, the unverified data fields are directed to verification personnel for visual interpretation and verification where experienced operators verify or correct processed information. This product is then turned into Data, and the properly formatted Data (record layout) is quickly transmitted to the client.
