Originally licensed
to Tullahoma, Tennessee, was once "Boogie 93", WBGY. Later the station
began to target the larger Huntsville market, as WKQD,"Power 93".
That was as with a Hot AC/CHR type format. At one point around 1990 became
"The Ugly FM". Later on the station went back to calling itself "Power
93", this time as urban contemporary with the WHPR calls. They later
jumped to country as "The Possum". Before the country launch, they stunted
with a computerized voice countdown, interspersed with oddball quotes and
commentary.

As part of a deal between
Cumulus and Clear Channel, the Tennessee Valley's radio dial is being shaken
up with several changes. This station was relicensed to New Market, AL
as part of the deal. The transmitter site has also been moved from near
the TN/AL border, where the station served the Huntsville market before
the move, to a tower site in Huntsville itself. After the move, the
station was rumored to be flipping back to country, as "93.3 The Wolf".

As of January 14th
the station is off the air, no doubt in preparation to move to the new
TX site and debut with a new format. The station was on the air periodically
between the 14th and 15th, stunting as "Movie 93.3"
with movie soundtracks. "The Wolf" debuted the afternoon of the 15th.
