TV History Profile: WNCF


History:
Began as WCCB. On  March 12, 1964 changed to WKAB TV; later changed to WHOA for "Heart of Alabama". Has always been an ABC affiliate. The calls were changed to WNCF in 1999. WNCF stands for "Where News Comes First".  Not to be confused with Montgomery's WMCF, on channel 45.  In early 2009 the station made The CW Network available on digital subchannel 32.2.

 
This station has elected to discontinue analog broadcasts sometime before the new June 12th deadline.
