History:
Previously known as WGZS prior to February 2007, possibly with a gospel format.  The calls then changed to WEEL, and an oldies format debuted in March of that same year.  Since going oldies, the station's had several silent periods, for technical and financial reasons.  It returned to the air for good in June of 2008, along with an FM translator on 100.1 MHz.
