This was my first organized fun car rally/treasure/scavenger hunt.
It all went pretty well, I based it on the hunters gathering information and things from our sponsors.
Participants were asked to get (for example):
Dates and/or inscriptions from a building or gravestone.
To count the number of seats in a restaurant.
The number of supports on a bridge.
To identify historic community landmarks.
Retrieve some item from a sponsor and/or sign in.
The route was set out to take participants around the community, with Direction and Distance to the Next op or directions such as “ Where Macon meets Cherry in Jesup”.
There was a starting point (Hardee’s) and a finishing point (Sybil’s Restaurant).
It covered about 50 miles had 18 Stops and took about 2.5 hours to complete.
