Time Spent

Waiting...
Time slips slowly by,
Slowing to a crawl.
The mind wanders
With a thousand thoughts at once,
Trying to fill the empty space in the day
Spent waiting.
So much time is wasted
Doing nothing.
Standing in lines of other "lost souls"...
A vast sea of unfamiliar faces,
Collectively and individually,
We wait.
