The Journey

I've traveled thousands of miles, I have..
But I do not leave my home.
I prefer another 'travel' than that which you'd expect.
I choose to visit places in my mind, you see..
They're more vivid than reality.
I've skated on the astral plane,
I've danced in heaven and hell..
I've listened to my soul sing sweetly
Its spiritsong so soft.
Though I must return sometimes,
To my flesh, my blood, my shell..
I shall never forget
The dreams I've lived
Through this journey through the mind.
