Sunset to Sunrise
We run like children, far and long,
In grassy fields of green.
Searching for a private spot
Where we know we can't be seen.
I lay you down, and kiss you soft
While we watch the setting sun.
We shed our clothes and snuggle close
Two bodies.. joined as one.
Great in passion is the love we make,
While the silver moon slides by..
Crossing through the blackness of
The darkened, summer sky.
I wake you just before the light,
And you raise your head to see
The sun is rising slowly,
As you lay beside of me.
Curled up closely on the grass,
I kiss your cheek and grin.
And we snuggle ever closer as
We let the day begin.
"How much better could it get?" I think,
As I look into your eyes,
"You were with me when the sun last set..
And you're here to watch it rise."
