Description
RRRotate is an AutoLisp program, with a command named RRR, by CadToolChest FREE, which functions within AutoCAD 2002, and later (possibly earlier). It rotates selected objects around a base point in the xy plane.
This command is similar to the standard AutoCAD Rotate command when its Reference option is used to specify the "from" angle (either type in an angle, or pick two points). However, unlike the AutoCAD command, it allows the drafter to pick two points (or type in the angle) to specify the NEW angle.
Command Prompts:
Select objects to rotate/<Quit>:
Specify base point or rotation:
Specify reference angle:
Specify NEW angle:
Use the QUIT option to exit the program, or select the objects to rotate in the xy plane. For the base point, pick the point around which the selected objects will be rotated. For the Reference and NEW angles, either type in the angles or pick two points to specify each angle.
The selected objects rotate about the base point by the difference between the two angles.
